Civil arrest order canceled: R.I. gubernatorial candidate Feroce makes a payment on debt

Judiciary spokesman Craig Berke said that it was “the court’s understanding” that Republican gubernatorial candidate Giovanni Feroce had made a payment on a debt owed to Broder Brothers, a clothing supplier. That led to the cancellation of the writ of body attachment that District Court Judge Joseph T. Houlihan Jr. issued on Tuesday, holding Feroce in contempt for failing to show up and explain why he hadn’t paid the year-old judgment.
