RBC, Inc received a gift basket from an Ashland, Ohio soldier who has
served in our military for two years in Iraq. The soldier sent a generous
“phone-a-gift” basket to RBC, Inc. revenue specialists for being
“nice” in helping the soldier clear up his credit report.
The large woven gift basket
included snacks, fruits, and cookies.
The note that accompanied
the gift from the soldier is attached, however, his name has been removed
for privacy reasons.
Phone-A-Gift on Ashland
Road in Mansfield, Ohio delivered the package.
Oddly this delivery comes
at a time when the Financial Regulation bill going through Congress
proposes very significant burdens on creditors and creditor
representatives through the new Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.
Horror stories from bad players in the collection industry motivated
Congress to impose a vast array of new regulation that will make it harder
creditors to get paid for their products and services.
The business community in
North Central Ohio has received services from RBC since 1948, spanning
four generations of family ownership.
Current owner and
president, Eric Snyder, said, “In an era when bad news about our
industry is the rule, it is comforting when people see the positive impact
of our services to the community. This is not the first thanks we
have received, but it is the most generous. The cost of the basket
no doubt exceeded the cost of the bill we cleared off his credit
report.”
