Mark V. Matz
Credit Decisions International 

Mark Matz oversees marketing Credit Decisions International in Elk Grove Village (one of only seven commercial agencies in the U.S. certified by both the Commercial Law League of America and International Association of Commercial Collectors). 

He has been involved professionally with the credit industry over the last 30 years; working for a variety of companies representing credit grantors, collection agencies, law lists and attorneys allowing him a unique perspective of the profession.  

He is currently serving as a member of the CLLA’s Midwest Regional Council and Commercial Collection Agency Association Marketing Committee and Co-Chair of the CLLA’s National Marketing Committee. Starting his career in credit management for Tribune Company’s flagship radio station in Chicago (WGN-AM) after starting there in radio production, Mark later moved to the Broadcast Cable Credit Association (responsible for its marketing and credit reporting services). 

After leaving this association, he spent time working for certified commercial agencies and law list publishers in a variety of positions, also having spent time with the CLLA itself as its Marketing Director.  In the past, Mark has served as chair and vice-chair of some CLLA national committees, Secretary of the Law List Publishers and briefly on the CLLA’s Southern District Council. 

Mark Matz resides in Morton Grove, IL (in the north suburbs of Chicago.  He is an avid history buff (serving as Director of the Morton Grove Historical Society.  In his spare time can be found at old car shows around town.  Currently, Mark serves as a volunteer as his village’s Cable & Telecommunications Commissioner and was elected President of Morton Grove’s Action Party.
